Park Place Sublime- Marty Rosen at the C-J had a lot of nice things to say about Park Place on Main. Good to see Anoosh’s departure hasn’t hurt one of the best restaurants in town.
Pizza at Vincenzo’s- Vincenzo’s is offering up gourmet pizza for lunch. Options include pizza Margherita and a daily special pie, each $9.95.
International Flair- Looking for some culture? Stop by the International Mall at Eighth and York. The Global Market offers up international food and fresh meat.
Sullivan Impact- Morton’s, The Patron, and Café Lou Lou all have one thing in common. They employ Sullivan culinary grads, and they are making a big impact on the local dining scene. Check out the Voice-Tribune’s coverage here.
Go Puerto Rican at Seviche- Chef Anthony Lamas at Seviche is hosting an exploration into Puerto Rican cuisine at the Goose Creek location this Wednesday. The four course meal will feature a slow roasted, suckling pig with a bacon plantain mash for an entrée. Dinner costs $55.
Jarfi’s Finds New Home- The always-eclectic Jarfi’s has taken up residence in the former Lentini’s location on Bardstown Road. Check out LEO’s coverage.
Wine Dinner at Lilly’s- Stop by Lilly’s on July 22 for a three-course International Wine Dinner. Wines will be paired with different ethnic cuisines, from Korean to South African. Dinner is $55.
Reverse Happy Hour at Avalon- The idea behind Avalon’s Reverse Happy Hour is that you get the good prices on drinks at the end of the evening, unless of course you’re just getting started at 10. The inside bar will be offering half priced drinks and $5 appetizers. Hours are 9-10 Sunday-Thursday, and 10-11 on Friday and Saturday.
Farmers Markets- Farmers markets have been thriving of late in Louisville, and that’s good news for small farmers. Business First produced a cover story on the connection between farmers and the local markets. Everything from flowers to produce to rabbit filets are on the menu.
