Then, on May 22, restaurants and bars along the Highlands Bardstown Road stretch will provide live music and food samples and specials to individuals walking down Bardstown Road for the sixth annual Bardstown Road Bound festival.

Variety in Dining Deals: If you want to try the new White Castle BBQ Pulled Pork Slider, you can get a coupon for a free one on the White Castle website. Through the summer, Asiatique is hosting a Friday’s After Five happy hour featuring live music, discounted drinks, and smaller-portioned meals on Fridays from 5-7 p.m.

Anoosh Shariat is planning his new business in Holiday Manor, and we’ve got some fresh details. Anoosh’s Bistro and Anoosh’s A.M. are expected to open by the end of 2008. The two will share the same building but have separate entrances.

Anoosh’s Bistro will feature Shariat’s signature take on Mediterranean and American cuisine. The Bistro will seat 180. Entrees are expected to range from $16-$28.

While the Bistro will offer a traditional dining experience, Anoosh A.M. will serve quick breakfast and lunch items. Orders will be taken at the counter, and seating will be available. Whole wheat pancakes, quiche, paninis and croissant sandwiches highlight A.M.’s menu, with prices ranging from $4-$10.

Shariat has been a presence in the local restaurant scene since 1987. Known for his work at Remington’s, Shariat’s, and most recently Park Place on Main, Shariat has a long and colorful history in the restaurant business, as evidence by this profile in Food & Dining Magazine.
