You might remember Rick and Cathy Dissell as the former owners of Rick’s Ferrari Grille in St. Matthews. The Dissell’s latest effort, The Blackstone Grille, opens Friday in Prospect. The Dissells sold their old business in February, and have been working on their new concept since.

Fans of the cozy atmosphere at Rick’s will be pleased with the menu at Blackstone, as many items have been included in the new establishment.

Blackstone is in the former home of the Prospect Fish Market at 9521 Highway 42. “We live in the area, so it made sense to open our new place out here,” Cathy Dissell said. “We just felt this area needed an intimate restaurant.”

Blackstone seats 105 people, and offers an eclectic menu, featuring fried chicken livers, shrimp tacos and a variety of other dishes. The restaurant is already booked for tomorrow’s opening, but you should be able to get in Saturday or Sunday if you act soon. Call 228-6962 for more information.
